♫ - - - RASPUTIN “RAZ” RUZICKA
“I THINK IT'S FAIR TO SAY I CHOSE HOPELESSNESS AND INFLICTED IT ON THE REST OF US”
NAME: He'll only ever introduce himself as RAZ RUZICKA. RASPUTIN? He seems to look moderately horrified if anyone even mentions it; named after his grandfather the shapeshifter is in strong denial of what his birth certificate says. Raz doesn't just feel like a nickname to him, no, it's 'proper fact'. He can get rather rebellious at being called anything aside from that and prone to getting obscenely immature about it.
[/ul]AGE: SEVENTEEN.
GENDER: MALE and this is something that he is very proud of.
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: BISEXUAL, though with preference towards WOMEN; Raz is, well, an incredibly sexual person and likes to make his interest known.
RACE: SYLPH.

POSITIVE PERSONALITY:
That being said Raz is rather adaptable as well; improvising has always been a strong point of his. Able to change his behaviour, and ideas, to situations when he feels like it it's certainly a strength in any case. Bloody hell does he like to think he does it with style - he'll call it being "well flexible~" - but his quick-thinking has gotten him out of difficult positions on many situations, even if he more than often is the one that sets himself up for them. His quick thinking means that Raz is more street-smart more than conventionally intelligent. While his grades may not be fabulous he has the mind to get what he wants when he wants and straight As just happen to not be a thing he's that interested in.
There's an inventive side to Raz as well. While some might call his imagination god awful he'll say they're obviously oppressin' his mind; he's creative, no one can deny that. So maybe a lot of his 'imagination' is used for innuendos and dirty word play but he can also be rather innovative in situations where it's needed. When he can be bothered anyway.
Raz'll claim he prefers to work alone, though, and it's true that Raz does well independently. If anything he gets rather distracted in the presence of other people so not having others around him is better for him, some may argue, so he can actually find it within himself to concentrate. He's more than capable of supporting himself anyway, he's had to learn seeing how he's so far away from home, and while he craves for social contact Raz rarely needs to depend on others. Depending on him, while a particularly risky thing to do, can work out. Can being stated hesitantly, however.
[/ul]NEGATIVE PERSONALITY:
He likes to think he can solve most things, the arrogant piece of shite he is after all, and it just shows how Raz does not think through things. His actions are often rash, impulsive and relying on instinct rather than common sense (preferring to use his own RazLogic™). At times it's as if he has no sense of danger; that or some sort of idiotic fixation with the adrenaline he gets from getting into less-than-pleasant situations. It seems as if doesn't care much for his personal safety or the safety of others. Indeed; his nonchalant, risky view of life can put others in danger.
As mentioned his arrogance often gives him the view that he's better than just about everyone and will rebel against anyone who finds themselves otherwise. Tending to put up petty, vindictive rebellion to even just simple help if you advise him to do one thing chances are he'll chooses the other option, just to spite you, no matter what the outcome. He's stubborn as hell in this manner. Raz does not like admitting to the fact that people, aside from him, could be right on some matters. Unfortunately it makes him quite hard to handle as a student but makes him sometimes terribly easy to play. Reverse psychology works like a charm on this lad here as if you ask him to do one think it's his instinctive reaction to do another.
While once again him being out-spoken could be something that could be looked on positively it's often him just being rebellious, or crude. Being blunt is not always needed and he'll insert his opinion where it just isn't needed or helpful. Raz is often very crude with what he says as well; there are times were he cannot go without swearing in every other sentence, highlighting a limited vocabulary. Altogether it makes him come off as obnoxious, insensitive and uncomfortable to be around. He can often come off as judgmental, prone to sweeping generalisations, but when it comes down to it he doesn't seem to give a rat's arse about the shapeshifter and elemental differences.
All of this behaviour is down to an attention-seeking personality. Despite his seemingly overwhelmingly egotism there's a side of him that's insecure and the mindset has grown overtime that if people are not paying attention to him then they should be. He prefers to be loud, if it attracts eyes, and prefers to be crude if it attracts even more. Raz interrupts others, forces their attention back on them if they're not; he can get jealous easily, and results in vying for negative attention. According to Raz there's no such thing as bad publicity but others would beg to differ.
Raz barely seems to realise this is all very much self-destructive and you can only wonder how not. Purposefully picking wrong choices in acts of unneeded defiance, tactlessly sabotaging any close relationships he holds and stating the most crude of things just to get reactions - starting off as a mere coping mechanism when he was younger his self-destructivism only worsened as the years passed. While it has never manifested physically, and probably never will, it's decisively unhealthy but the man won't admit to it. He's far too stubborn to admit anything of the sort and just states that he likes the way he lives his life. In his opinion other people can't just stand some bloody moral high ground and criticize how he lives his life.
All in all this personality has left Raz a little clueless when it does come to sensitive matters. There are times he can try to handle them, believe it or not, but it only leads to him getting quite awkward and hesitant. He's defensive when he comes to his own personal matters, when people question him too much, and he's more than prone to becoming quite aggressive even if he does not necessarily intend to.
[/ul]HOBBIES:
- FOOTBALL - he would never call it soccer, born and raised in Northern England he cannot stand people calling it that - has always been an interest. His favourite sport when he says he's good at it it's not necessarily overconfidence. A Liverpool FC fan through and through he's not afraid of showing it, even though people at the high school often greet him with the question of "what state is liverpool fc in then?" it's remarkable how defensive he'll get over it.
- RUNNING - a traceur, after the fad swept Liverpool, Raz can do parkour and by God he's a bit arrogant about it at times. While admittedly he's had some injuries he'd rather not recount because of it he genuinely does enjoy just running as well.
- SKIPPING CLASS - a bunker through and through unfortunately Raz's class attendance can be a little, well, dismal at times. Just the way he likes it though; in his opinion there are some that are just made to be skipped. It's how the school system works for him. He'll attend when he wants.
- SETTING OFF FIREWORKS was actually something Raz always found himself good at despite the fact that, well, they're illegal in New England. He says he'll get around that eventually.
FEARS:
- DYING - Raz will say he's come to terms with his morality and that, well, he's immortal by his logic. Really. While it seems like arrogance in the beginning there is the fact that he really just doesn't want to die. Ever.
- BEING ALONE - Despite the fact that Raz drives people away with his frankly offensive personality, he absolutely hates being truly alone. While it's true he gets less distracted without their presence for extended periods of time he just can't stand it.
AMBITIONS: Raz, to be frank, has none. He doesn't aspire to be anything, no. Maybe having an ambition would be nice, so is his ambition TO HAVE AN AMBITION?
POWER TITLE: As a Sylph his power is the MANIPULATION OF THE ELEMENT OF AIR.
and through this he is able to change the direction of the wind. The strength of the wind often relies on the amount of power in his own movement; small actions only cause miniature gusts where obviously larger gestures, such as sweeps, would create bigger gales. The fact that constant movement is emphasised means that if ever used in fighting it would be difficult to land a blow on him, similar to the intangible nature of the wind. He can also attempt to control the paths of thrown objects, though this requires a lot more precision and concentration, usually something he doesn't quite have.
If he ever did use it for fighting there's the fact that it's more defensive than offensive, focused on dodging attacks or pushing them away. Nonetheless if he does attempt to do more air manipulation the large amount of strenuous movement means that Raz gets exhausted easily. The fact that he also has to really concentrate to do any destructive damage is something that... Well, rarely happens. The most he ever actually seems to use it for is the 'inadvertent draft' when girls happen to pass by in skirts.
That being said though he has attempted to apply his power to sound and generate sound waves or manipulate already existing ones as they travel through the air and vibrations. The amplification of volume through air, however, is something he hasn't fully got a hang of as of yet.[/ul]
