He didn't see why he needed to visit the cafeteria with its considerably horrid food when he could cook for himself perfectly fine and well. Yet here he was, in what could have been considered the quietest cafeteria known to man. There were little to no people in it, but even so, a low murmur of kids chattering with their friends, with the occasional outburst of laughter here and there. A lot of little groups were constantly passing back and forth in front of his table as well, traversing to the vending machines just outside and then heading back to return to the larger group.
But here he was, sitting at a small, empty table. There was no tray of food in front of him; just a snack-sized bag of chips, which could be considered empty as well, disregarding the tiny crumbs and pieces still remaining. Which brought up the question of why he needed to be in the cafeteria, when that was all he had decided to eat. Well, needless to say, there was nothing of importance he needed or could do in the classroom, so he might as well waste time idling away in the cafeteria, listening to the low chatterings of others. He figured that maybe he would go outside and sketch a little after he thought it was a good time to get off his butt and go, but it seemed his own imagination got the best of him before he could do anything.
For a moment, he thought he had been seeing things. But after blinking a few times, the blond realized that he was most certainly not seeing things. There, floating just in front of him, across the table, was some kind of fairy cat. A fairy cat. Yes, indeed. It was an orange tabby kitten, appearing as though it could fit in a tea cup and turn the hearts of everyone who saw it into mush. It had soft, long fur, and wide, emerald eyes, with two twitchy ears atop its adorably-sized head. Four tiny paws, and a darkly striped tail, dangling beneath it as it hovered in the sky. On its back were what kept it suspended; glittery, transparent wings, sparkling with the reflection of the light, sitting still yet managing to keep the tiny thing still in the air.
Lirix blinked. Thrice in fact, his own clear aqua eyes staring down the green.
Wh-what..? He mused, titling his head to the left just a tad, almost like a curious animal. The kitten mirrored his actions, tilting its own head to the right, still meeting his gaze. What the fu-- All of a sudden, it spoke to him, intruding on his thoughts with an unspoken, telepathic voice. Lirix! It's Lirix isn't it!? The thing squealed, causing him to jump to his feet a bit, throwing an arm in front of him, not knowing what to do with the other arm, and simply leaving it suspended. Luckily, no one had hopefully been watching him, but he quickly regained his composure, reseating himself before shaking his head briskly.
The cat did not go away.
This is just my imagina--Lirix, come with meee~ He slammed both hands on the table in irritation, glaring at the cat who wouldn't let him finish a thought. why should I hell should I go with you!? How do you know my name? Do you want me to smack you? Because kitten or not, I will! Leave me alone. he could have cried for help right then and there. Sometimes his imagination really got the best of him. You have to come or else--No! He barked back, giving the poor kitten a silencing glare, but it refused to cease. Instead, it floated around his head irritably, pestering him with mental pleas for help.
In the end, Lirix found himself digging through his pockets, discovering--what luck!--a rubber band. Yeah, because that will certainly teach the stupid figment of his imagination. Stretching the rubbery object a few inches apart, the blond took aim at the winged creature, and quickly released, watching the rubber band fly like an eagle to its prey. At the last moment, however.. the cursed thing vanished! That's cheating! He pouted in annoyance, but he was certainly just in time to see where the rubber band hit...
The head of another person some next few tables away. Just my day.

You're not alone now, you're with me now Even when you're tired and run down because of the world, I'm here to comfort you -------------------------------------------------- She can tell you that she definitely wasn't in the cafeteria for food. She would actually be very surprised that anyone would come in here for anything and to eat from the vending machines. Seeing that the students here were so rich, they would prefer eating the meals that their own chefs prepared for them. She was no different. Although she didn't exactly hated the food from the vending machines, she didn't really liked it either. She could cook something up on her own or have her family chef to make something even better. So, she didn't really understand why there was even a cafeteria around seeing that almost no one comes in here anyways. Even though she didn't understand why there was one, Alvery actually found it good. It was another quiet place that she can spend time going through pages and pages of books or doing homework. Normally she would either be in the library or courtyard, but the cafeteria was also a quite peaceful place too. With the clicking of her heels against the floor, Alvery made her way to an empty table away from the small number of people in the room and settled down. She placed her folder and books on the table in front of her and delved into her bag in order to find her pencil case. Upon finding what she needed, she took out a few papers from her folder and with a pencil in hand started scribbling things down. The worksheet was very simple; at least to her and she it wasn't long before she was done and moved to the next one. Her hands moved deftly from one side of the paper to the other. It wasn't long before she had finished all the sheets that she had to do for homework. Next she had a book that she needed to read for English class. Reaching for a small but thick book from her pile of three books in front of her, Alvery opened up to the page that contained a purple leather book mark. Placing the book mark aside, she started to read. Her eyes darted back and forth, making their way down the page and then onto the next. Some people may hate reading such books for English class, but she definitely wasn't one of them. She loved to read and found much pleasure in doing so. Books had so much to offer, even more than an actually person at times. She continued and was about to finish the chapter when suddenly, she felt something hit her head. She winced in pain as she turn around to look at what had hit her. On the floor behind her laid a rubber band. She picked it up frowning, slightly annoyed at who could have possibly be childish enough to be flicking rubber bands around. Alvery lifted her head up and looked around the room before seeing someone a few tables away who seemed to be looking towards her. Guess she found that person. --------------------------------------------------- STATUS: Finished WORD COUNT: 504 TAGS: Lirix NOTES: First RP post here on this site.

If only he had the ability to turn invisible. That would be the greatest thing ever to happen to him in his life if such a feat were possible. Turning invisible. His heart would explode if he could accomplish such a thing. Turning invisible my ass. Lirix grumbled, slapping both sides of his face with his hands as he saw the person he had just his with rubber band. On accident. It was an accident. They would forgive him for that, wouldn't they? But how in the world would he explain? Uh, there was this flying fairy cat that was annoying the heck out of me, and so I tried to hit it, but I missed. Sorry. Yeah, no. Nonono.
I'm.. going to die, aren't I?
It was not long before he saw his accidental target, looking for the owner of the rubber band, and not longer before she found him, and his heart sank. He just hit a girl with a rubber band. It was an accident! He kept telling himself, but to no avail would his guilt get out of his conscious. Oh, glorious fairy kitten, take me with you! He cried out mentally in anguish, although he received no response. Quickly, he regathered his thoughts, lightly slapping both hands down on the table, his right just over his empty bag of snacks, as he crumpled that up into a small ball, and pocketed it so that he could throw it away when it was more.. convenient.
He needed to say sorry, didn't he? Where was it... A bit frantically, the blond second year began to dig through the messenger bag sitting by his side, hoping the girl wasn't sneaking around to give him some kind of slap or screech of anger. He could have shuddered at the thought. Stupid, stupid fairy! Within moments, he pulled out a small sketchbook and pen, and briskly flipped it open to the first empty page he could find, and he began to write. In a matter of seconds, he held it up towards the girl for her to see and read, all the while trying to find out if he knew her or not.
"Ah, I'm sorry! I really didn't mean to hit you with that--it was just an accident--and the cat--I'm sorry!" Was what the sketchbook said as he held it up, as well as off to the side a little bit, he even drew in a little sad face, shedding a tiny tear or two, with the little puppy eyes supposedly no one could resist. Which, as a matter of factly, people could resist. Lirix wasn't one of those people, but he sure knew a few.
Lirix bit his lip quietly, teal eyes staring from behind the sketchbook quietly as he set the thing down, recapping his ink pen for the time being. He sincerely hoped this one wouldn't end up being another enemy amidst the battlefield he raged with others. He had too many enemies lately. She looked to be around the same age as he, although he couldn't really tell, but he was not sure if he'd ever seen her around or not. Then again, he was never really good at paying attention. Unless he was drawing, that is.

You're not alone now, you're with me now Even when you're tired and run down because of the world, I'm here to comfort you ------------------------------------------------ Alvery stood in the exact same spot in silence as she watched the male student started frantically searching for something in his bag. She continued to stare at him as he pulled out a sketchbook and started scribbling something in it. She watched him curiously yet still slightly annoyed. Now, what was he up too? Had he suddenly decided to make a sketch of the victim of his rubber band flicking or what? After a few seconds the movement of his pen stopped and he held the sketchbook up with the side that contained the writing facing her, obviously for her read. "Ah, I'm sorry! I really didn't mean to hit you with that--it was just an accident--and the cat--I'm sorry!"She was a bit surprised by his actions. After all, he could have spoken his apology like a normal person would have. Unless he was mute, though she highly doubt that he was. So, what's with the written apology in the sketchbook? Not to mention the cat. What cat? She certainly didn't see any cats around. Then again, she was engrossed in her reading, so she probably wouldn't noticed one if it were around. Well, she wasn't going to bother with finding out. Heck, like she ever bothered with anyone. She didn't even know the student anyways. Although, he did look familiar. Well, she walked pass so many people throughout the day that she couldn't possibly remember all of them. Like she would even bothered to. It was just then that she noticed the sad face with puppy dog eyes that he had drew beside his apology. Aurgh...That just made him seemed even more childish when added with the fact that he was playing around with rubber bands. And with that as his first impression on her, she decided that the peacefulness of the cafeteria was shattered and where the peace has been disturbed, she was definitely not going to be staying there for long. "It's fine."With that short reassurance that she wasn't mad at him--though still a bit irritated at being disturbed in the middle of her reading-- she started cleaning up her area. Well, looks like the library will once again be the most welcoming place for her. -------------------------------------------------- Status: Finished Word Count: 344 Tags: Lirix Notes: Yep, yay for me!
