Strangely enough, it seemed that this was an exception to one sole male; a second year student, left alone in a long-abandoned classroom. It was empty, silent. Vacant. Even with the one student inhabiting it, he might as well not be counted, for he was a silent as a rock, making no sounds, even if he moved. His icy twin orbs, a vivid aqua of green and blue, were fixated on the world outside, the window serving as a display case that could go either way. The sky was dark and cloudy, and the tears fell softly from the sky in a light pitter-patter, streaks of water running down the window he sat next to.
Despite what teachers constantly nagged at students for, the blond was calmly seated by the window on top of a sturdy wooden desk, his shoulder and head leaning against the wall just aside the window as his knees had been brought up to his torso; and, his two arms wrapped around that, in some kind of makeshift hug. "..." Sitting beside the young male was a small, minuscule spiral notebook, approximately the same size as an average planner. It was left open, with the front few pages turned to meet with the back, so that it wouldn't be flapping around and getting in the way. If one decided to have a look see, they would discover that the book was a sketchbook, the page it was turned to, completely blank, clean, and white. A pencil was yet to be seen in the vicinity, but it was likely nearby and hidden.
Emitting what could have been the tiniest yawn in the world, the blond continued to stare out into the dreary looking world, although there was a relaxed, almost distracted look in his aqua eyes. It seemed as though he had been sitting there since school ended, but from his attire, one might assume that perhaps he had gone back to his dorm to change clothes, as it was unlikely he was allowed in the class looking like he did now. Of course, in actuality, he really had been there all day; he simply loosened up his clothing, making him appear as though he just got out of bed. The male wore a plain white dress shirt, the first few buttons at the top left unbuttoned, the collar still folded down neatly. Around that was bound a black tie, loosened up so that it dangled loosely around his torso, and to top it all off, he wore dark navy jeans, and a loosely worn belt, that which dangled at his side at an angle. Finishing the whole outfit, on his feet, a simple pair of white sneakers, with three black stripes on either side of each running diagonally upwards.
Because of the rainy skies outside, it was difficult to tell what time it was, nor did the male seem to have a watch on him. His cell phone had been left at his dorm as well, so there was no chance he could check the time without meandering all the way back. Compiling onto his time troubles, the room he was in didn't appear to have a simple time-telling mechanism in the vicinity. One could only conclude that the teacher of said room did not allow the kids to know what time it was, so that they would stop constantly checking the time. Of course, that only increased the frequency rates of cell phones getting taken up. Brilliant plan. Still, if anything, he could only guess that a an hour, or maybe two at most, had passed by since class ended, and he sat here in solitude.
One might be wondering why the young man might be doing such a thing, when he could be out and about playing games, or starting fires, or hanging with his friends. Well, he was quite sorry to say that he had no friends. Or at least, that's what it seemed like. He wasn't really sure who would want to be friends with him in the first place. Disregarding all this, he was still there, sitting in the classroom on a desk by the window, looking into the dreary world that seemed to relax him so. On several occasions in the past hour had he nearly fallen asleep to the calming rhythm of rain beating down on the window, then trickling slowly down to the grass floor below, and on several occasions did he fall asleep, waking up with a brief start if he heard a noise every so often; which was, at times and very rarely, the low rumble of thunder in the distant background.
This time, he was awake now, and thinking that maybe he should head back to his dorm at this time. Even if he chose to, though, nothing would change. If anything, he'd go lay on his bed quietly, alone, and listen to the rain still, drifting off every now and then into some fantasy world with talking wallabies. Eventually, he'd end up riding one of them, and then they'd probably take him off to slay some dancing dragon that sang to Britney Spears... Briefly shaking his head away from his latest dream, the male turned his head slowly to check the entrance of the class, which lay across the room just a bit to his left. Even now the halls looked deathly empty, which was expected at whatever time this was. Everyone had likely gone home by now, had they not?

------------------------------------------------- *rain rain go away* -------------------------------------------------
It was raining. Oh how Zephyr hated the rain. Getting his fur soaked plus the fact that it was easy for him to get sick. Curse his body but even more was curse this boredom. He was pretty much trap in the academy. Well he supposed he could go to the dorm but he didn't want to go there right now. There was nothing to do at all in that place. Which left him to his currently activity. Walking around the hallways. It was boring really, after saying good bye his fellow friends he now found himself in this desolate hallway. Why must it rain?
Yet despite his annoyance and how tediously boring the world was for him his smile seems to be as persistent as ever. His ears picked up the small pitter patter of the rain that continued to charge at the many windows of this school. It was quite hard today, he could barely tell the time difference of each hit. Of course that was with his human ears but still he didn't like the sound of it. It didn't look like it would end at any rate and with all of the students gone, he had no one to play with. Such a shame, such a shame. No one to talk to, mess around with or anything. At least from what he can see anyway. Who knows maybe he'll encounter someone who was either just bizarre or similar to him.
The kitsune walked down the stairs having half of a mind to transform just for the fun of it. At least that would give him something to do but there was a slight problem...that would be against the rules. Of course normally he was quite a rebel who broke rules just out of curiosity or boredom. Sometimes it was both but there were lines that he won't cross. Having his true race discovered was one of them. Although there wasn't really anyone in the halls right now but he wasn't going to take his chances. He couldn't get expelled or perhaps even worse. He really didn't know what happens to those who are caught. There were many rumors about it though. Rumors that at times makes him tempted to break the rule but he always maintained himself. After all Ai would be sad if he was to be gone wouldn't she?
Zephyr pulled on the collar of his student uniform. It was such a hassle. He unbuttoned the jacket portion of the uniform trying to give himself some room to breathe and some sense of freedom no matter how small it might be. Next he took away his tie and places it into his book bag. That was when he passed by a class. That was when he noticed that it seems he wasn't the only one in the school. There was a male all alone. He stared at the blond and then looked up to see what class. Oh so it was second year huh? How interesting.
The friendly smile never leaving his face he walked over to the blond. "Hello~" he chirped as he waved his hand as if they were friends who had not seen each other in a long time despite the fact that this was their first encounter. "So what are you doing here all by your lonesome?" he asked trying to make a conversation in an attempt to get rid of his boredom.

the empire will fall like they planned onCAN WE EVEN LAST THROUGH THE NIGHT? The rain was relentless. Streaming against the window in a calming, rhythmic sound – like a soft voice echoing around for all to hear. Who knows how long this lone artist had been singing her lullaby. Occasionally, there would be a change in the lighting of the stage. Lightning, wanting a piece of the attention that was being given to Rain. Then, soon after, a mad drum solo would be played by the demanding Thunder. Despite all odds, the combination of it all was something to be awed at. It was something beautiful, magnificent. How the low clap of Thunder complimented the gorgeous voice of Rain, Adora would never be able to figure it out. And then there was the intruding Lightning that just accentuated it all in his own way. Truly… beautiful.
For once, the young first year was sitting still. For once, she was calm. Her elbow was resting a top a wooden table that was stationed beside a window. With her chin in her small palm, she tilted her head to gaze out it and into the blurry painting before her. But all that was soon to be ruined. The sound of someone clearing their throat caused the young girl to slowly tear her wide, awe-struck gaze to her tutor. The second her attention was on the person in front of her, her legs started to kick idly in the air. Her poor tutor was trying to teach her something that Adora had been having troubles with. Math. Her mortal enemy. The pink-haired girl was utterly bored by it all. And her fleeting attention span caused her mind to wander. Not to mention her horrible, gold fish-like memory made it impossible to remember the formulas. She had enough trouble remember the names of the students and teachers around her. How was she supposed to remember a quadratic equation or the Pythagorean theorem?
The natural smile was completely wiped from Adora’s lips. The frown that had set on them was an awkward feature for her. It never seemed to fit with the life that always glowed in her large eyes. With her legs kicking and head tilting from the left to the right and back again – following a beat only she could hear in her mind – she stared down at the math book opened on the table. Whimpering in frustration and even occasionally slamming the book closed only to watch it be opened again, she listened to the tutor try to explain it to her. Time and time again, she seemed to fail.
Frustration built up inside the normally happy girl. She felt horrible. Math was her worst subject in the entire world. It played games with her mind and the formulas were horrible. If she got just one thing wrong, the entire answer would be twisted and wrong. Just a simple slip and it’s all over. Adora hated to play by those rules.
The tutor finally decided to let their tutoring session end after noticing that she had become distracted with a fly. It kept buzzing around the young girl and she would watch it, even turning around in her chair in a complete three-sixty in order to follow it with wide eyes that just begged for a fun game. Though, each time it would come within her reach, her small smile would turn into a frown and a little fist would be thrust at the tiny bug. After the third attempt, the tutor just sighed and asked: “What are you doing?”
To which the little pink-haired girl replied: “Playing a game a friend showed me. Its called Punch the Fly. I’m trying to punch the fly in the face!” she stated it as if that was common sense, a tiny giggle bubbling up. Once again, the tutor sighed and dismissed Adora. With an enthusiastic wave – finally happy that the session was over – the girl shoved the book back in her pink messenger bag and ran out of the library as fast as her little legs could carry her. She was free~!
When she reached the empty hallways, her pace slowed. The desolate place reminded Adora of a horror movie. But this just caused her to giggle again. Her tiny hand gripped the strap that sat on her shoulder. The weight of the messenger bag made her walk slowly and often caused her to wobble to one side. It was so heavy and she was so light. But she continued on down the silent halls, her eyes darting around as if expecting someone – anyone – to pop out and surprise her. However, not a soul was to be seen.
With straight legs, she decided to amuse herself the best she could. Each step was a wide one – for her, anyway – and she refused to let her knees bend. She looked like a soldier walking stiff-legged down death row. The only thing different was the wide smile that painted her overly happy features. She was excited. Never had the school been like this before. Was it the rain that caused the people to scatter like ants after their hill had been kicked? Maybe. But, whatever it was, Adora liked it. She loved the solitude. She felt as if she ruled the school. As if she were a survivor of something that wiped everyone else out. She. Was. The. One.
Now, this was starting to get fun. She would roll onto the floor every now and then as if she had to hide from a monster – the monster that killed everyone else. Though, her bad still slowed her down and made a ton of racket each time is collided with the ground, she didn’t care. However, she would turn to it as if it were someone else and his a quiet but firm “Shhhh! Quiet, Sir Weighsalot! Or else it will hear you. We can’t let it find us, do you understand?” Then she’d pause as if it were answering her before continuing to roam around the school.
Sometimes, she would march like a soldier, stiff-legged and loud. Other times, she’s crawl on her belly the bag being slowly dragged behind her. She would even dive to the ground and roll behind a wall before peeking down an adjacent hall as if someone might be lurking there. And it was a good thing she did. Floating down the hall she was about to enter, she heard a voice. It sounded familiar…
She waited, her breath caught in her throat and her eyes wide as she tried to decide what to do. She was lost in the imaginary world she had created for herself. Was this person a survivor? Or was it the monster trying to lure her into a trap? She couldn’t decide. But, soon, her mind was made up by curiosity. Slowly, she leaned to peek down the hall. The voice was drifting from a classroom not too far from her. Turning her head, she looked down at her pink bag, putting a lone finger to her lips as a gesture for it to remain quiet. That was when she made her move.
Diving to the ground, she crawled on her stomach to the side of the hall that the noise was coming from. Her bag, hitting the floor, made a loud bang in the otherwise silent halls. She froze, eyes wide in fear. She stared at the door for a moment, waiting for the monster to rear its ugly head out and discover the poor survivor. But nothing came. Slowly, she inched her way down the hall, back pressing against the wall, until she was beside the doorframe that lead into the classroom that the voice had come from. Sucking in a cautious breath, Adora mustered up all the courage she could before leaning to peek into the room with wide eyes…

Perhaps a bit too quiet, but the second year was used to it.
Of course, not all things would last forever, much to the blond's dismay. As soon as he redirected his attention back to the window and its rain-streaked glass, he could hear light footsteps over the low thrumming of the rain outside. So he would soon learn, he was not the only one left in the school building. Well, he supposed he was not the only strange person who would choose to stay in the school for hours on end. It was a tad odd... but then again, he was just insulting himself now.
The footsteps appeared to have come closer, and the young man briskly stretched out his legs, unfolding his arms from their positions, and placing his hands on the desktop to support him as he leaned back, his legs now dangling over the edge of the desk, the sketchbook still untouched and remaining at his side. Once the task had been completed, he shifted himself to get a better view of the door, lifting his head and shoulder from off the wall.
It was not long after did the blond finding his aqua eyes resting upon another male, and if his judgment wasn't poor, who was a student. He also seemed to be older. Well, that was all right. Still, he figured he couldn't be too careful, as he has had troubles with students of all ages in the past... not to mention teachers. He supposed he would soon see how long it would take for the latter to either get him entirely PO'd, or see him as some crazy, hallucinatory guy with speaking issues.
"Hello~ So what are you doing here all by your lonesome?" The other had inquired, complete with a wave. Okay, so he seemed friendly. Although maybe a bit too friendly. He supposed it was all right.. Better than some little punk who drew on his drawings. Yeah. That kid sure learned his lesson. As he the stranger waved, the blond nodded his head slowly in acknowledgement, his lips unmoving to show signs of any speech coming in the near future. What amused him was the fact that introductions never really came first these days.
Instead of speaking, the male slid a sleek, black clicker-pen from the from pocket of his shirt, grabbing the sketchbook on the table briefly afterwards and, within not even a few seconds, he scribbled something down and showed it for the other to see. "Just watching the rain, is all. Looking for some inspiration. And how about you?" Is what it said, in a neat kind of scrawl, despite him being a male and whatnot. The fact that he had written so much in such a short time was also probably an intriguing fact, although it wasn't really much of a feat for him. That's what he thought anyways.
As he brought the sketchbook back down to his lap, (as he deemed he had given the other enough time to read) something strange caught his attention back over at the entrance, just after a very loud noise, almost like a bang, was heard, nearly causing the blond to jump. Blinking slowly, the second year leaned over slightly just a tad, to get a better look at whatever may have caused it. A bright pink head.. wide, curious eyes.. Was what he was able to register. Then it hit him that yet another person had appeared on the school grounds. And.. and what's going on now? He blinked stupidly again, hoping his day didn't just get exciting.

------------------------------------------------- *rain rain go away* -------------------------------------------------
At first Zephyr had pouted when the teen didn't answer his question. Although he did nodded at the wave. Still didn't the teen know that it was rude not to say anything? Eh what was he doing? The male saw him take out a pencil and sketchbook before scribbling something down. A part of him wanted to take a peek at what it was in case the stranger wouldn't show him. Lucky or him though, he did get to see what it was. He tilted his head not at the penmanship but at why the guy didn't just ask that. Was he mute or something? The next thing that caught his attention was the neat writing. It was truly something to applaud. Not many people have such neat writing or if they did they surely didn't write quickly.
Ah but alas he didn't get to fully appreciate it as the book was taken away from him. Such a shame too. Still his smile never faltered one bit. "Got bored so I decided to find someone to talk to." He stated. It was pretty much the simple version of it really. He never did like explaining things about his day. Rather avoid it as much as possible actually since the kitsune always found himself a very boring person to learn about. Yes, a very boring person indeed. His mind slowly drew away from himself and towards the blond's statement or rather writing. Depends on how one sees it he supposed. Inspiration huh? Well seeing that he had a sketchbook it was most likely for drawing or maybe it was writing too? It could be a manga or some comic. Hopefully it was manga, he liked those a lot more. Not too many distracting colors.
"Inspiration for a drawing or book?" he asked. As those words left his lips though he heard a thud. It wasn't loud at all really but it did catch his attention. Slowly he turned around to see a girl with pink hair and big round eyes. It wasn't hard to figure out who she was at all. Oh looks like he might have two people to talk to until the rain goes away. Lucky day~. Well maybe not because it was still raining but still not he had more people to distract him and that is a very good thing is it not? Still what he didn't get was why Adora looked so nervous or perhaps even frightened from the look on her face. Was she afraid of lightening or was it the blond?
The third year looked back towards the blond to see him stare at the girl. Not with interest but rather maybe a slight annoyance? It was hard to tell since he barely knew the guy. If they were to see each other more and Zephyr gets to know the guy it would be easier to read his expressions. Quickly though he turned his attention towards the girl and gave her a small wave. "Well, if it isn't Adora? What are you doing here?" he asked. He had expected her to play with someone right now but that was obviously not the case seeing that she was in the school. How peculiar too. She didn't appear to be the type to actually like staying in school. Then again who does?
Zephyr waiting for her answer felt himself bored of standing that he sat on the desk. There weren't any teachers in the classroom so he won't get into any trouble and if he did. Well he'll just have to come up with something to get out of it right? That wouldn't be anything new to him seeing how much he ditched class just so he can sleep on the rooftop.

the empire will fall like they planned onCAN WE EVEN LAST THROUGH THE NIGHT? Oh no! They saw her! Both of them saw her! The second she caught their gaze, she squeaked and stumbled back, falling onto her bum. She stared wide-eyed at the door before realizing she knew one of them and the other she recognized at the very least. With a happy giggle, she hopped onto her feet and ran right into the room, jumping up and stretching out her arms to climb up onto Zee’s lap but gravity took effect quicker than she expected and she nearly banged her pink head on the desk that he was sitting. Quickly catching herself, she tilted her head down to her bag and frowned at it. “Sir Weighsalot! You’re too heavy! You need to stop clinging to me! I can’t save your life and mine! Grow a back bone and stand up for yourself instead of hiding behind me~!” She huffed a breath of air before shrugging the bag off her shoulder. It fell to the ground with a heavy thud. “I’m sorry, Sir Weighsalot, but I have a family I need to think about.” She nodded once, her arms crossing over her chest. Her frown turned into a small pout and she turned her head away from the bag, her eyes closing. Though, it wasn’t long until her pout turned into a frown and her gaze returned to pink bag. “Oh, don’t use that… that guilt trip on me! That’s not fair! Hmph!” she paused for a moment… “Of course I’ll help you. You just can’t cling to me anymore! You’re too heavy!” And with that, she nudged the bag under a desk to hide from the evil monster that was out there to kill them all.
After she had hid her bag under the desk, her eyes darted up to Zee. Normally, she would have smiled wide. But, normally, there wasn’t a monster roaming the halls of the school looking to make a snack out of everyone. So, instead, she just nodded and turned on her heels before marching like a soldier over to the door. Taking a deep breath, she pressed herself against the wall before leaning over to peek out into the hallway. As far as she could see, there was no one out there. Gingerly, she grabbed the door and slowly closed it, smiling in triumph as it closed quietly with a small, tiny click. Quickly, she whirled back around and threw herself back against the door, arms outstretched over it as if to make sure it stayed closed.
Her large eyes studied Zee and the blond whose name she was trying to recall but couldn’t remember – as to be expected considering she had trouble remembering her own name sometimes. After she was sure that she hadn’t accidentally locked herself in a room of monsters, a smile broke out on her face and she giggled happily and ran over to Zee. Once again, she jumped and wrapped her arms around one of his in some form of a hug before exclaiming, “You’re alive, Zee! Are you two the only survivors? I’m here because I didn’t get caught yet!” she asked in her normal, joyful tone. However, there was something different that tainted it. There was a hard undertone – she was serious about the question. Her gaze jumped over to the silent man on the other desk, her expression becoming twisted with concentration as if that would help her remember his name, assuming that she had had at least one conversation with him. Everyone speaks to Adora sooner or later. No matter the grade or age. She was just that kind of person.
Eventually she gave up trying to recall his name. Her brain still hurt from the tutoring session from earlier. She just threw one of her small hands into the air and waved at him like she did to everyone else, her smile still wide on her face. “How did you two escape it? I hid away in the library!”
She was so far gone in her little imaginary world and game, she didn’t know that they probably had no clue what she was talking about. How could they have known that she had created some fictional monster that ate everyone else in the school?

He had not even a chance to reply to the other male in the room when the strange girl lurking by the door began to make her own kind of commotion, all by herself. Was she insane like himself? Mental? Hallucinatory? Well, no, he himself wasn't really.. deserving to be in a straight-jacket, but he did tend to let himself get carried away by his own thoughts. "Well, if it isn't Adora? What are you doing here?" The other said, and he was able to register this little girl as Adora. Adora, huh? He mused, remembering it. It would be quite the ironic situation to see that these two would probably have a lot in common, yet they would end up being at each other's throats. For the most part anyways.
He didn't even have time to react, as Adora seemed to be talking to her.. bag. Sir Weighsalot. Sir. Weighsalot. Sir Weighsalot? Sir Weighsalot. Yeah, no. Repeating the name over in his mind with different tones didn't really help the fact that a bag was still a bag. Watching the strange, pink-haired girl with round eyes named Adora, it seemed that in the end, she ditched her bag there on the ground, and it certainly seemed like the two in the room knew each other from some previous encounter. Well, now he was just like a third wheel of some sort, but he was quite used to it--no complaints there. Maybe it would even be better if they forgot he was sitting there? The poor bag, He mused silently, aqua orbs staring as he watched the thing get pushed under a desk.
Now that she was finished arguing with Sir Weighsalot, her attention had been drawn back to the silver-haired male that was trying to strike up a conversation earlier. It was a rather sad attempt, since he was kind of mute, but at least he tried, and was actually getting somewhere. Click... The tiny noise brought his attention back to the present, and the blond's gaze turned to the door, wherein he slowly, finally realized she may have just locked it. She locked the door? She locked the door.
She. Locked. The. Door.
And she was guarding it, too. If only for a brief moment, just before she came and gave the older guy a running jumping hug or whatever, whilst he himself kind of had a mental panic attack. Why did she lock the door!? He almost freaked, although on the outside he seemed just about as calm and bored as he always had been. He knew he could always unlock it himself, but still. Why lock the door?! In all his musings, he hardly paid any attention to whatever Adora was saying about survivors and getting caught and escaping. Was there something out there? Was it going to get them? Wait, wait, wait. This wasn't like one of those zombie movies, was it? It felt exactly like one now... That door wasn't going to hold them back!
No, that can't be. Zombies.. Who was he kidding?
"...!?" All of a sudden, he smacked the sketchbook in his lap, making a small thwap! as though he had suddenly had an idea. Quickly, he flipped to a blank page, clicked the black-inked pen in his hand as he began briskly scrawling out his thoughts. In a few moments, he looked a bit frantic as he held out the sketchbook for both of them to see. "Did you see a talking wallaby out there?!" Was what seemed to be written. "Ah, I think it's after me! It wants me to slay that stupid dancing dragon." He could hear the music in the back of his head now, imagining the frightening thing.. Oops, I did it again, He could hear, and he could only gape in shock at the vision, his eyes staring blankly into the distance. How could that thing have wiped everyone out but the three of them already?
Why did he have to slay it? Were these his allies? At first, he had been sure that the wallabies had been a dream. But this girl Adora's actions confirmed that his dream came true. Did the really? Now what was he going to do? Who knew what the other two were thinking about him now, stuck in his little dream world that Adora brought back to life.

------------------------------------------------- *rain rain go away* -------------------------------------------------
Adora's initial action was not something he had...expected. She seemed scared alright as she ducked behind the door. The movement truly reminded him of a child, it might have been because of her big round eyes or her small stature. Yet it seems that she recognized him and ran over to him and made an attempt to climb onto him again. He was ready to pick her up but first he wanted to see if she could climb onto him or not. Why? Simple, it was out of curiosity. Although there was not actual trigger to why he was curious, he just was. It seems that she didn't make it as her head had almost made contact with the desk. In all honesty it was quite a cute sight.
The next sight though was...bizarre to say the least. When she first mentioned the name Sir Weighsalot he wasn't so sure what to expect. He simply stared at her, the smile present and waited to see. Nothing came out. Her head was tilted though so that she was talking to her...backpack. He couldn't comprehend the event that had present itself to him. Why was she talking to her backpack? He knew that kids had imaginary friends they would talk to...that was one thing but her backpack? He couldn't remember him ever doing that as a kid. He turned towards the blond, he seemed to be just as confused as well with what was going on. Good, so the kitsune was not the only one.
As she dropped the backpack and soon kicked it under the desk, he tried to come up with any logical reasoning only to find that there was none. The pink haired girl was not making any sense. There had to be something that he was missing. Some information. When Adora stared at him, she didn't smile. Even though he barely knew the girl, she seemed to bet he happy go-lucky type. To see her gave him a simple nod instead of answering the question he had directed to her. She then marched like a soldier towards the door. Okay now just what was going on in her head? He continued to observed her as she looked out as if she was scanning the halls for anyone before closing it. Was she hiding from someone? Maybe a game of hide and seek? Then he heard a click.
Adora...she just locked the door didn't she? Why? Zephyr supposed that way if she was playing hide and seek the person was it wouldn't find her but he was sure that one wasn't suppose to lock the door when playing that game. As the door locked he saw her stare at them being rather...cautious. Okay, now he was sure it wasn't a game anymore. So then what other reason would there be? Suddenly the familiar warmth came to her eyes and she smiled rushing over to grab hold of his arm. For a moment his eyes opened just a small bit revealing crystal blue eyes as confusion was written on his face at the sudden change of atmosphere. Her joyous exclamation only made him more confused but at least now he was getting something. So she was happy that he was alive but why? Then there was the survivor part that he could not understand. Caught by who?
Wait a minute. The rain, thunder, three people in a desolate school, caught, alive...that was when he understood it. This setting...it was perfect for a horror movie. With that he closed his eyes and smiled. Oh yes, this was going to be very entertaining. He would be sure to thank Adora from the bottom of his heart some day for this. At her question he knew that he was going to lie to her just to go along with her story. Humor her but more importantly entertain himself. His smile gone but his eyes were still closed he began his little tale. "Oh it was horrible Adora. I was running down the halls away..." he gave a short dramatic pause before his head lowered just a little. He wrapped his arms around himself pretending to play the victim. "From that horrible monster. It ate everyone, I had barely managed to survive." He ended not wanting to go to far as he did not want to contradict whatever image Adora was having.
Then there was a thud and his arms quickly fell to his sides as Zephyr turned his attention towards the blond male. Hmm, now that he thought about it, he should ask for the guy's name sometime. Oh looks like he was playing the game as well. Well it was either that or he was having the same thoughts as Adora. Although to be honest he was pretty sure it was the former. The kitsune folded his arms pretending to make an attempt to remember before quickly nodding."Yes I think I did before the monster came to attack." he stated.

the empire will fall like they planned onCAN WE EVEN LAST THROUGH THE NIGHT? Adrenaline from the story she had created was pulsing through her body. She seemed a bit more restless than normal because of it. Her eyes were constantly as wide as they she could get them and she was constantly moving. Whether it was the shifting of weight from one leg to another as she stood or the popping of knuckles. She couldn’t stop her fidgeting. And, every now and then, she would toss her head in the direction of the door, her eyes gazing at it as if someone could break through it without much trouble. They weren’t safe here, were they? If the monster wanted them, it could easily get them, couldn’t it?
She craned her neck back to look up at Zee as she listened to him talk about how the monster had eaten everyone else. This little lie just fueled her imagination even more. Since he was now going along with the game that didn’t seem to be a game any longer, she just believed what was happening to be as real as anything else. As real as the silent man sitting on the desk or the silver that tainted Zee’s hair. Her imagination had swallowed all sense of reality and now the line between what was actuality and fiction had been blurred. To Adora, it was as if she was in an actual horror movie.
A small whimper escaped her after Zee had finished talking. It sounded like a mix between pain, fear, and total glee. A weird mixture but that’s what she was feeling. She was empathic for the loss Zee suffered, her adrenaline was pumping from the danger and horror she thought they all faced, and she was gleeful that something so exciting was happening in such a small town. She couldn’t tell if she loved it or not.
She continued to shift her weight from one foot to the other, her body swaying with the gentle motion. Another whimper sounded before she couldn’t help it – she had to be held or carried or something. She wanted a little comfort. So she wrapped her arms around one of Zee’s and slowly climbed up into his lap like she had done to many people before and will probably do to many others in the future – if she could escape this dream that was tainted with nightmares.
Kicking her legs, she pulled herself up into his lap, sitting so she was facing the silent man on the desk. Though, her head was tilted up toward Zee and her small arms wrapped around his neck in a short embrace. “It’s okay, Zee! We’ll make it out! I know we will! All three of us!” Determination laced her childish voice and shined in her innocent eyes. She gave a curt nod as if declaring that this was fact and she wouldn’t let it become a lie. She was going to ‘save’ them from the ‘monster’ that lurked the hallways of the empty school.
Her head snapped in the direction of the other. He had slapped his hand against his book and Adora didn’t understand why. Wiggling, she hopped off of Zee’s lap and made her way over to the silent one, curious. She tilted her head as she read what he wrote, her lips moving, mouthing the words. Once she had finished reading, she looked over at Zee. He had claimed to see a wallaby before the monster attacked him and the others. What was a wallaby doing here? Something as cute as that couldn’t be evil, could it? Then, all of a sudden, it dawned on her. The wallaby was the monster’s pet! The wallaby must not want to be the monsters pet, though. It must appear to warn people that the monster was coming but, of course, no one ever listened to an animal so they just ignored it. Then, when the monster appeared, it was too late and everyone was eateded!
“Yeah! The wallaby must warn people that the monster is coming! As long as we don’t see the wallaby, we must be safe, right?” Her wide eyes jumped from Zee to Silence over and over again, waiting for confirmation. Though, she knew she didn’t it. Of course she was right. She was Adora. She was always right.
Suddenly, her head snapped in the direction of the door. She just stood there, staring at it for a long moment before she ran over to it. Unlocking the door, she opened it a crack and peered out into the hallway before pulling away and shutting it again. She looked at the other two, eyes wide as ever and the smile wiped from her face. Her hand reflexively locked the door and she leaned back against it like she had done the first time. Are we safe here? I think we need to move!” She blurted, giving another curt nod as she stared at them, eyes burning with intensity of seriousness that was hardly ever found within her eyes. Yet, there was still a mixture of pure innocence and utter glee somewhere in there.
