- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I'VE HAD ENOUGH FEARS, YOU'VE LET THEM OUT NOW I WRAP MYSELF AROUND YOU LIKE A BLANKET FULL OF DOUBT Oliver coughed, but let Christopher wrap his arms around the blonde without an argument. It was quite strage. Here he was, mad as hell at Chris, yet he needed Chris to comfort him. There was no way he could be without Chris. He'd be lost.
Oliver scowled inwardly. Had the two of them never met, he wouldn't have to feel this weak all the time. But he did. And, strangely, it wasn't that bad.
"I like you too... and.. just because I'm an elemental, it doesn't mean.. that, i'm not human.."
Oliver squirmed gently out of Christopher's arms and pushed the other boy's shoulder playfully, "Yeah, right," he said, sniffling slightly. He leaned back into Chris before getting up abruptly. He held his hand out for Chris to grab.
"I'm getting cold, can we get out of the water?" Oliver asked, all traces of previous anger seemed to be gone. He wasn't mad anymore, just a bit upset, but hell if he was going to lose his best friend, the one person he really kinda loved, over a simple matter of being human or not. It sounded stupid, but Chris was worth being alien if he was still Chris.
"I'm not gonna leave," he said, pulling his shirt off his body, using it to dry off his messy blonde hair. "Just saying,"

""Yeah, right,"
The blonde soon got up, offering his hand towards Christopher. Soon enough, the boy took the offer and grabbed the human's hand.
"I'm getting cold, can we get out of the water?"
The boy pulled himself up, using the other for support and soon nodded, a somewhat smile on his face. Though it was hard to tell if he was smiling or he was just being.. Chris.
"Uhh.. Sure.."
The boy let go of Oliver's hand and began unbuttoning his shirt which clung to his skin like tape but only after he fixed his hat. After removing his shirt, the boy made his way to the chair that he set up earlier, not really minding that the chair was getting wet from his shorts before putting one of his legs on top of the other and beginning to read the pocketbook once more. Waiting for the other to say something.
"I'm not gonna leave,"
The boy was playing with the air again, it was to keep him warm and the temperature of the wind around him was warm, like summer in Vegas. Soon enough, he was dry and back to looking like.. Christopher. The boy glanced over, closing the book once more and spotted the other drying himself with the wet shirt of his.
"Just saying,"
The boy reddened lightly but covered his face with the book of his.
"Whatever"

{ YOU KNOW I'M ONLY HALF WITHOUT YOU } - - - - - HOW WILL I MAKE IT THROUGH?
Oliver watched with interest as Christpher unbuttoned his shirt. If anybody had commented on Oliver oolgling the other boy, he would have flat out denied it. Oliver wanted to laugh as Chris then adjusted his hat, that thing seemed to mean so much to the other teen, it was... insane. It was jsut a hat, after all, yet Chris seemed to treat it in a similar manner to the way Oliver treated Eevee-Chan.
Oliver headed back to the beach alongside Chris before realizing he left his gorgeous dog, Xenocrates, chained up by the beach gate. Quickly, the blonde teen ran over to his precious dog and untied him, looping the leash around his hand a couple times. Oliver scratched under Xen's chin, "I'm sorry, boy, I almost forgot about you," he mumbled, letting the dog give him a rather wet lick across the face.
Oliver ran back over to Chris, Xen by his side, "Heey, Nerd, have you met by doggie, Xenocrates?" Oliver asked, letting his large dog get in Chris's face, not bothering whether the ginger animal slobered all over the other boy's book. After all, Oliver was much more important and sexy than anything Christopher could ever read.

"Haven't you read that book a hundred times already?"
The boy rolled his eyes and kept on walking, not even bothering to reply to his two comments.
"Whatever.."
Alright, apparently he did bother to reply. Soon enough, the boy reached the water and was crashed-grabbed by the blonde who grabbed him by the waist and if it wasn't for his powers, the boys would've landed in a THUD! but instead, they fell slowly and with no sound at all.
The boy squirmed lightly, turning himself around so he was facing Oliver. They were both on the ground, the water reached them and Oliver was on top of him. Perfect, right?... N'ah.
In order to stop the waves from crashing over them, Christopher tried to create a barrier around them and whenever the waves crashed above them, they didn't get wet in any way.
Christopher reddened darkly, only beginning to notice that the boy was on top of him and dangerously close.
"E-eh..."

{ YOU KNOW I'M ONLY HALF WITHOUT YOU } - - - - - HOW WILL I MAKE IT THROUGH?
Oliver giggled in a very feminine way when Christopher noticed the dog. His eyes looked to be large as saucers! "You like him?" Oliver asked, sounding more like a child showing a badly-drawn portrait of one thing or another to their parent rather than a sixteen year old boy, but what could he say? The dog was everything to him.
"Oi, Marshall.. Get this dog of yours off my book."
Oliver pulled on Xen's collar, attempting to draw the dog away from the other boy, but had no luck at all, Xen was busy attempting to sniff Chris out, highly curious as to who this human was that Oliver always spent time with.
"Why?" Oliver asked, crossing his arms, "He likes you,"
Oliver had to laugh, though he wasn't completely sure if Xen really did like the other boy, or he was just interested in what Christopher's book tasted like. Oliver had to pick the latter.
"You owe me a new book."
Oliver stopped laughing and frowned, "Haven't you read that book a hundred times already?" he asked, staring at the back cover, "I thought you'd have it memorized by now,"
And then, all of a sudden, Chris came close and kissed Oliver on the cheek, completely out of the blue, before walking away, back towards the water. Oliver broght his hand up to his cheek and stared into nothingness. He was brought back to reality when Xen barked at Chris. He turned around and ran after the dark-haired boy, attempting to stop the other teen by grabbing him around the waist, which would surely land both boys face down in the sand if he tried, but he shrugged it off. Oliver was more interested in knowing why Chris was acting so... un-Chris-like.
Not that he minded, of course.

- - - - - - - TAKE THE PAIN OUT OF LOVE, AND LOVE WON'T EXIST EVERYTHING WE HAD, EVERYTHING WE HAD, EVERYTHING WE HAD IS NO LONGER THERE Oliver stared down at the other boy below him, his face heated with red that spread from ear to ear. Had he been any closer to the other boy, they'd be touching in places they didn't really care to be... well, actually, that was a lie--on Oliver's side at least. Yet the reality of them being so close was, well, it was odd.
"E-eh..."
Well, now this was an awkward situation if there ever was one...
It took Oliver longer than expected to reply, as he wracked his brain to think of something that wouldn't sound awkward. Or rather, something that wouldn't sound as awkward. His reasons for crashing into the other boy were left in the dust as the heat of the new situation took over his body, disabling movement throughout his arms, legs, and torso.
"I, uh, sorry," Oliver mumbled, trying to push himself off the other boy, though he found it a bit harder than one would have expected from such a cliche situation. "I can't get up," he moaned, staring into Christopher's crimson eyes. He was swept away immediately, and wondered if the reason he couldn't get up was due to the fact that, maybe, somewhere inside of him, he didn't want to.
"Chris..." Oliver began, somewhat afraid of what to say to the other boy, "I don't care what the fuck you are," he paused, running his bottom lip through his teeth nervously before continuing, "ikindasortareallylikeyou," Oliver blurted out, forgetting to space his words out properly so the other boy could understand him. Oliver's blush deepened, he'd said it. Finally. Now what?

The awkward silence between the two boys made the boy slightly redden more, if it was possible. He wanted to say something but something forbid him to utter a word. Instead, he looked towards the side, realizing that his face was burning red.
"I, uh, sorry,"
The sudden intrusion of silence made the boy look right back into the other's emerald eyes. He was way too distracted to ask what the other was sorry about.
"I can't get up,"
The other spoke once more, way before Chris could ask or say anything about what he had previously said, to be honest, Chris thought that the only reason Oliver couldn't get up was because if he tried to, the blonde would've bonked himself on the head with the barrier Chris held up.
Instead of replying to Oliver's comment about not getting up, the boy tried to increase the size of the 'box' there were in but failed to do so, since he was sort of in an uncomfortable situation at the moment.
"Chris..."
He looked at the other once more, since the confined space they were in sort of limited his line of vision.
"I don't care what the fuck you are,"
Yeah, thanks Oliver. Though Christopher didn't know whether to take it as a compliment or take offense from the statement.
"ikindasortareallylikeyou,"
The blonde blurted out but from the way he said it, Christopher couldn't make out what he said and instead of being the flustered reaction one would expect, the boy gave the other a confused look.
"Uhh... Can you repeat that?"

- - - - - - - TAKE THE PAIN OUT OF LOVE, AND LOVE WON'T EXIST EVERYTHING WE HAD, EVERYTHING WE HAD, EVERYTHING WE HAD IS NO LONGER THERE Had anyone zoomed to the future and showed Oliver this exact moment one month ago, he would have laughed in their face, "Why would Christopher ever want me that close to him?" They were best friends, not lovers.
But now, the blonde wasn't so sure. Somehow their proximity seemed... right? No, that wasn't the right word at all. He believed it was something more like perfect, and the fact that, as much as he tried to create space between them, he found it excruciating merely added to the problem.
And what was worse was the fact that Oliver had just told the other boy he liked him. Kind of sort of really liked him were his own words. Oliver couldn't help but blush at that. He needed to pick himself up, toss the day's events into the back of his mind and forget about them until Christopher, perhaps, brought them up again one day in the the future.
But, of course, nothing really worked that way, and Oliver would have to deal with that.
"Uhh... Can you repeat that?"
Oliver sighed, not really wanting to relive the immense embarrassment he'd just gone through a mere five seconds ago. Especially if he would have to say it slower. Though, due to their current situation, the other boy wasn't going anywhere any time soon unless Oliver got his problems off his chest, thus the blonde teen had to repeat his words.
That, or it was damn near impossible to ignore such an adorable face, complete with a dusting of bright red the exact shade of his eyes across the other boys cheeks.
Oliver closed his eyes, not sure if he would actually be able to repeat his previous words, thus decided to sum them up in one fluid movement. He bent down, closing the space between them and gently kissed the other boy on the mouth, moaning slightly as he tried to shift into a more comfortable positon.

The boy couldn't think of anything to say, mainly because it seemed like he lost his voice from staring into the other's eyes.
The silence was unbearable, at least it was in this kind of situation. If it was any other time, the boy would've been thankful for this peaceful silence but for now, it was like the silence was screaming at him to say something.. Weird, right?
There was nothing wrong with that~
"Uhm... Marshall?"
Christopher began, noticing that Oliver didn't repeat what he had blurted out and it sort of threw Chris out of course.
Soon, the blonde closed his eyes and leaned in, kissing him way too fast before Christopher could ask what the boy was doing. His eyes shut close and it took quite a while before he kissed back, trying his hardest to ignore the moans the other seemed to make as he shifted.
Wait.. Was a wave about to crash down on them? Maybe..

- - - - - - - TAKE THE PAIN OUT OF LOVE, AND LOVE WON'T EXIST EVERYTHING WE HAD, EVERYTHING WE HAD, EVERYTHING WE HAD IS NO LONGER THERE Oliver's eyes were closed as tight as possible as he kissed the other teen, wanting to make the moment last as long as possible before they had to stop. What surprised him was that he actually kissed the other teen instead of staring blankly at him, pretending he didn't just admit that he liked Christopher. What surprised Oliver even more was that Christopher kissed back.
Oliver broke the kiss and brushed messy blonde bangs from his eyes. "I said I liked you, Nerd," he repeated, gaining back his usual cocky attitude. "You know, like-like," he gave the other boy a gorgeous grin that only Oliver Marshall could pull off. A grin that envolved his perfectly straight, white teeth and pretty green eyes.
"Want me to say it again, or did you manage to understand it this time?" he asked, making sure Christopher knew exactly what he had said and that the other boy was aware that, though he was older than Oliver by a year, he belonged to Oliver. In a very loving sort of way.

Christopher watched as the boy brush those blonde locks, frowning lightly at the other. They were still in an awkward situation and Christopher really wanted to get out of it and back into his comfort zone.
"I said I liked you, Nerd,"
That made Christopher raise an eyebrow at the other boy, trying to squirm off by pushing the other on the chest without a polite 'excuse me'.
"You know, like-like,"
Alright. That made Christopher redden a bit once more but he was pretty sure that his face couldn't take in any more blood or it'd explode.
"So it wouldn't hurt to say I.. Like you too..?"
He said in... somewhat of a question form and right after he said that, the black haired boy found his way out and stood up, looking down at the other before giving what could be considered a 'smirk' and walking back to the chair and looking at the book...
At least the spit dried up.

Oliver froze. Wait, what? He shrugged and stuffed his hands in his pockets before getting up and following Christopher to the other boy's chair. "You like me, eh?" he asked, poking himself in the chest with his thumb, an overly-questioning look on his face.
He had to admit, he was wondering whether he was really in a dream. If he was, Oliver was damn sure he never really wanted to wake up. Really, if Christopher was going to go and say he liked him, Oliver may as well stay here in dream world, catching zs, rather than being in a world where Chris was quiet and... well, Chris-ish.
"Because if you do," Oliver warned the other boy, a large smirk plastered on his very mischievous face, "You'll have to be mine forever," Oliver giggled and laid down in the sand, next to a very wet, very content Xenocrates who'd been playing in the water mere minutes ago.
"So, is that a yes or a no, Christopher?" Oliver asked, again using the other boy's full name to tease him.

● ----a moment like this, some people wait a lifetime some people search forever, for that one special kiss oh ------ ● "You like me, eh?
Christopher blinked twice, taking a seat on the chair and beginning to dig through his stuff that was on a beach bag resting underneath the blue chair before glancing at the blonde and rolling his eyes, putting his shades on once more.
He didn't even answer. Instead, the boy took a towel out and hung it on his shoulder before tossing another one at Oliver.
"Because if you do,"
Christopher turned his head at the boy who was now down by the sand, right next to the large mutt he owned.
"You'll have to be mine forever,"
This made Christopher cough and cover his face with the towel, 'drying his face' but the boy's giggle made Christopher drop the towel at his lap and stare at the other boy weirdly through his shades.
"So, is that a yes or a no, Christopher?"
The whole name thing really was quite a turnoff for Christopher but he couldn't help but nod at the boy.
Well, whatever.

- - - - - - - TAKE THE PAIN OUT OF LOVE, AND LOVE WON'T EXIST EVERYTHING WE HAD, EVERYTHING WE HAD, EVERYTHING WE HAD IS NO LONGER THERE Oliver laughed, staring at the other boy with a content smile. He had a serious urge to say "mine" in a very childish manner, but ignored it. He was not a child, no matter how much he seemed to act like one at times.
Though no matter what Christopher had previously said, Oliver had been sure the other boy would have shaken his head, indicating a no, he would not belong to Oliver. Yet, completely opposite of what Oliver thought, the boy nodded a yes. Oliver had to resist the urge to jump in the air like some over-dramatic cheerleader.
Oliver turned back to Xenocrates, who seemed quite pleased with sitting on the beach next to his master. "And some day, Nerd, you and me will live here in Silent Cove with Xen to slobber all over all of your books," he laughed.
"That way you can pay less attention to them, and more to me," Oliver smirked at the boy. His life was seemingly perfect. He had Christopher all to himself, and he had his dog. Not to menton Eevee-Chan back in his dorm (she did not like coming to the beach). Everything was fitting in place, and it was beautiful. At least, for now.
"Oh, and don't forget you can protect me with your mad skills as a whatever-the-fuck-you-are," Oliver added with a large grin, having finally come to terms with the fact that Chris probably wasn't human, but he was still Chris, and still totally hot and totally Oliver's.
