------------------------------------------------- *close your eyes* -------------------------------------------------
"My it's hot today." He spoke as he walked down the streets. It was far to hot for his liking. Oh how thankful he was that his body isn't sick today or else he would probably die from the insufferable heat. It was already bad as a human but as a fox full of fur made for the cold. He rather not think about it really. Walking down with the usual smile on his face he hummed a random tune to himself. He didn't even know where he got it. It had simply came to him really for no reason at all. He wasn't even trying to think up of something to hum. It was a simple whim that he complied with. His footsteps soon followed the tune now distracted away from the heat.
What to do, what to do? Even he wasn't sure. He just walked out of the house because he was never a fan of closed space. He liked to get some fresh air and have some fun even if it meant that he had to seek the fun out himself. He didn't mind that at all even if his usual source of fun was busy today leaving him alone and not playing with him. She had to go somewhere else leaving him to be accompanied by this sense of boredom and dread. Really, he felt like he could die of boredom even if that was an impossibility. He needed something to do so bad right now. He had half of a mind to play with her brother Tristan but he was in a fouler mood than usual. Was the world just against him today? If so then the world really was cruel especially since he has been walking for what felt like hours with no particular destination in mind.
Hands shoved into his pockets he saw a sign. Silent Cove Cafe He tilted his head to the side in minor interest. He had been there a couple of times with his friends so it was not something new to him. Instead it caught his interest simply because it was familiar. With a small shrug he decided to walk in there. Even though he wasn't thirsty or hungry, he figured he might be able to have some fun going in there. Maybe there was something he could do, anything would be fine. He was quite bored out of his mind right now after all.
He walked into the cafe and a chime rung in his ears. Instantly he welcomed the cold air that blew from the air conditioners. The heat now completely gone he closed the door behind him so he won't let the air out. After all it would be a shame to waste such cool wonderful air. He scanned the area to see if there was anyone he was familiar with. Anyone he could talk or play around with would do. If not, well he suppose he could always make some new acquaintances. He gave himself a small nod to no one in particular. His ears quickly picked up light footsteps and turned around to see it was one of the employees. The usual friendly smile plastered on his face Zephyr lifted two of his fingers. "Table for two please~." he chimed like a little child.
The male's crystal blue eyes caught the employee look for a table before leading him. Once he took his seat he gave out his order. "One slice of strawberry cheese cake." he ordered as he felt like something sweet today. Something to cure him from his mood right now. Quickly he changed his attention towards the door waiting for someone. He wasn't even sure who he was waiting for in particular but a part of him didn't care either. He was just waiting really. For anyone that would catch his interest. That was what the empty seat was for after all. He silently chuckled to himself as he came to a realization. He was like a fox just waiting for a prey to come to him. |

[bg=000000][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,382,true]"......."
Silence rang through the boy's ears as he walked around the streets, not the least bit too hot but slightly too cold, thanks to him being a sylph, he could actually make a cool breeze go back and forth from him using the air that surrounded him.
"....."
He kept his quiet, looking down onto the pages of the book he held, trying to not bump into someone or, rather, something.
He couldn't help himself.
Reading was the only thing that gave him pleasure in this small, unexciting area... aside from the war.
THUD!
He ran into a pole that stood on the sidewalk... WHO THE HELL KEEPS A POLE IN THERE?! Oh.. Wait.. It's a streetlight. A groan released from the boy's mouth, one hand rubbing where he was hit and the other holding the thick, old book.
"nn... I should really watch where I'm going.."
He whispered to himself, slamming the book close and beginning to walk once more. Maybe he should find a place where he can sit and maybe have a snack or two while he read.
Looking up,crimson red eyes met the words of a certain sign... making the sides of his mouth twitch but it soon stopped, earning the same expressionless Christopher the world was so familiar with.
The boy walked inside, paying no attention to the sound of the chime or the cold wind. He looked at the employee with bored eyes and held one finger up, signifying the number.. well, the number one.
The employed dude nodded and pointed to a table that was fit for... Eight people? What. the. fuh-- Oh, the menu's there!
"One cold caramel latte and a slice of chocolate mousse cheesecake..That's it."
He ordered before looking around, his eyes waiting for someone familiar.. Wait.. Who was that?

She lives in a fairy tale

there's a place that i go that nobody knowsWHERE THE RIVERS FLOW AND I CALL IT HOME She was lying out on the sidewalk, her cheek burning against the hot cement that baked in the sun. Ignoring all the strange stares from anyone that passed her by, she groaned as she seemed to fry like an egg against the ground. She knew she would have to move soon but it was just sooooooo hot outside and she was sooooo bored. There really wasn’t much to do. Setting something on fire or making things explode would just cause the temperature to rise again. So the only other thing she could think to do was play chicken. But the black asphalt of the street was scalding hot. She had to deal with the gray sidewalk which was just a tad bit cooler. Though it probably wasn’t much better. She could feel her skin grow warm against it and then the warmth turning into a slight pain. Sighing, she pushed herself up to her feet and brushed off any dirt that could have stuck to her clothes.
Normally she didn’t mind the heat. The little pyromaniac could deal with almost any temperature. But this was something different. It was hotter than she was used to. Standing next to flames, she was used to the dry heat. This was heat mixed with the water in the air – humidity – she learned from science class. Or some class, anyway. But the humidity in the air was supposed to make it feel hotter than what it really was. “Stupid air. Lying to me about its heat. It’s not nice to lie.” She poked her tongue out at the air, her normal smile twisting down into an ugly frown that didn’t fit on her quite right. Though, it was soon replaced by her ever-famous smile. Pink eyes glistened with true joy as she looked around. She could here foot steps but where were they coming from… Oh! Oh! She found the source! It was… It was… Criss Angel! That’s who it was! Criss Angel! Well, actually. It was Christopher Hawthorne. But Adora had trouble remembering names. She had gotten his first and middle name – Christopher Angelo – with a star she’d seen on TV – Criss Angel.
A small giggle bubbled up as she turned on her heels and started to run in the opposite direction Christopher was walking. He was on the other side of the street and he had already passed her. This was perfect. As she ran, she reached out to catch a street-light pole in her hand, the force causing her to turn sharply so she could scurry across the street before any cars had a chance to come. Now that she had successfully made it to the other side of the street, she started to run up behind Chris, carefully slowing down and creeping behind him so he wouldn’t notice her. If she wanted a free ride, she’d have to be super quiet and super cautious. She had to pick the right… moment.
Now! The second Chris hit the pole; she launched herself up into the air and attached herself to his back, and her little hands gripped his shirt tightly as her feet dangled below her. She was so small and light that anyone could pick her up and she was hoping that the collision of the pole would distract her carrier from the little extra weight that was added. A large smile broke out on her face as her success. Trying to suppress a giggle, she clung to his back as he continued on, welcoming the cool air that seemed to be traveling around him.
The chime of a bell made her turn her head to look at the door. All too quickly they had entered a little café that Adora often visited to snack on cookies. But she didn’t seem to mind. A loud giggle just bubbled up from her throat as she let go of Christopher’s shirt and dropped to the ground behind him with a soft thud. “Thank you for the lift, Criss Angel!” She smiled wide up at him before looking around. That’s when she spot it. It was the most magnificent thing she had ever set her eyes on. Well, not really. But at this very moment it was. It was a perfect slice of cheesecake on a cute little plate that a waiter was carrying to a table. She had to have it.
With her mouth agape and eyes wide, she followed the waiter to the table he was carrying it to. She was standing behind him, making sure to stay behind him, even when he turned to leave. As he slipped away, she was standing at the side of the table, her head barely rising above the top. She stared at the cheesecake without uttering a word before slowly looking up at the man that had ordered it. He was from school, he was he was. Adora thought that maybe she had met him before but his name slipped her mind like every one else’s. So she just stared at him before yet another wide smile became painted on her lips slowly. Thrusting one hand up into the air, she waved at him as energetically as she could, the wild arm flailing and almost caused herself to lose balance. She had remembered what her mother taught her – it was rude to not greet someone after looking at them. “Hiya! How are you this lovely day?” the words tumbled from her lips with a giggle.

------------------------------------------------- *close your eyes* -------------------------------------------------
Another bell chimed and yes finally! Someone for him to mess talk to. Something to end his boredom. It was Christopher but as the boy walked passed him to go the menu he noticed a girl on his back. She had pink hair, he instantly knew who she was. He had seen her talk to Christopher at times and if he remembered right her name was Adora. It was an unusual name for him really but he didn't know that much about her namely because he never approached her. It wasn't because he hated her, oh no he had nothing against the girl at all. Rather they just don't bump into each other since she was a first year while he was in his third and last year. She looked really nice though from what he can tell.
What puzzled him right now though was what she was doing on Christopher's back and if the boy even noticed it. If he did he certainly didn't show it which would actually be in his character. The boy was really strange but amusing that way. He doesn't show anything on his face at all but at times he can be quite easy to read. Since even though his eyes show nothing, his actions sure say a lot about him. His attention returned to the girl as she jumped down and started stalking a waiter. Strange. He then turned back towards the male who was seems to have made an order as he let his attention be drifted away from the menu and towards the crowd. He watched the male's head turn scanning the area until it stopped. In those red eyes the kitsune saw his own reflection. Oh yes he loved that look, the small subtle hint of shock in his eyes at the concidence. With a big grin on his face that made him look more sinister than friendly he gave out a wave while standing up. Chris I already have a seat reserved just for you~" he chirped.
Instantly eyes were drawn to him but the male ignored it the smile still on his face. He wasn't affected by that. He had seen many stared at him before at school due to the fact that he was quite loud. He sat himself down just as fast as he had stood up and hummed the same random tune to himself when his cake had arrived. At first he wasn't hungry at all but now that he saw the cake. The sweet aroma just drawing him towards it. The sugar that was used, the syrup, the faint scent of strawberries was so alluring. He couldn't wait till he takes a small bite off of it but it seems that the slice was not the only thing the waiter had brought with him. Behind the male was a girl with pink hair, the one that had clung onto Christopher.
Yet it seems she didn't notice him as he attention was towards his cake. Even though he wasn't hungry at least that was until he saw the cake, he didn't want her to have it no matter how faint his hunger was. Yet her small stature that made her look like a small child and the look of innocence in her eyes. It reminded him of his own sister a little. No, it was his cake, he wasn't going to share it with anyone! Yet that stupid look. Silently he weighed his options. If he gave her the cake he might be able to buy her friendship and have another acquaintance to talk to and mess around with. Also he might be able to obtain something from her in the future so in a way the cake was a small investment on his part. On the other hand what could she offer him? Entertainment? He already have a good amount of people to mess around with and he won't be able to see her much at school anyway.
In the midst of his thoughts he only heard the last part of her inquiry. this lovely day?” Huh? He stared at her. Lovely day? He had surely missed something alright. Well if she had used those two last words he quickly figured out her question. The usual fake smile still on his face he answered her little question. "Why my day is very good so far. What about yours? he asked. At first though he was having quite a lousy day with boredom lingering but he supposed it was starting to get better with something to distract him from it. Even if it was a girl who appears to only want his cake. His hands reached into his pocket to feel the coins and silently count them. Yeah he only had enough to buy one slice right now. What a shame. Still he wasn't particularly hungry so he supposed she can have it. "Are you hungry Adora? he asked. As the her name came out he found himself regretting it. He was used to calling people by their names and since he knew hers it had slipped. Hopefully she won't pay much attention to it but he highly doubt that would happen. Oh well, at least if she leaves he can still have his slice so it won't be that big of a loss.

While he was looking at the other, a pink haired girl seemed to jump off of him.
"Chris Angelo... Not.. Criss Angie"
He said quite slowly, a temper mark seeming to pop up at the side of his forehead but that wasn't the beginning of his troubles.
"Chris, I already have a seat reserved just for you~"
Came the kitsune's rather enthusiastic voice. It was nothing bad but the loud disturbance gathered a crowd of eyes towards the yokai and him.
He stood up, sighing and lifted a hand by the side of his face, trying not to look at the eyes of some of the strangers.
The boy slipped onto the empty seat by the kitsune but didn't speak a word as the kitsune and the salamander talked to each other.
Another waiter looked around for him but as soon as the employee caught sight of the red eyed boy, the man placed the caramel latte and a large slice of the chocolate cheesecake that he ordered.
Taking a fork, he cut a small piece and bit on it, watching the conversation go on between the two..
Wait.. Does Zephyr know the li'l girl?

there's a place that i go that nobody knowsWHERE THE RIVERS FLOW AND I CALL IT HOME It seems the day she had been having was starting to shift in a better direction. Instead of the sticky, hot sun beating down on her relentlessly, she was now comforted by a cool, air-conditioned café that wouldn’t throw her out anytime soon. Well, hopefully she wouldn’t be thrown out. But that worry was the farthest from her mind. She was presented with a new enemy. One she had met in battle many times. One, which time and time again, she had defeated in a flawless victory. However, this enemy kept rising to its feet for more no matter what Adora dished out. Who was this enemy? This enemy was hunger. The simple smell of the cheesecake caused Hunger to gnaw at her stomach like never before. It felt as if her tummy was attacking her intestines. It looked so inviting. It was as if it was calling out to her. Which, as far as Adora’s concerned, it was. It was beckoning to her with sweet, sweet voices and commands to be eaten. She couldn’t help that her eyes had wandered back to the cake after she had greeted the man that had ordered it. Who could deny such a delicious treat what it wants? She wouldn’t. If he wasn’t going to eat it, she would. There was no question about it.
Her eyes were drawn up to him again; she had to crane her neck back just to meet his gaze. She was so small but she never minded. He had actually answered her question. Well, of course he did. She was practically drooling over his cheesecake. Once again, her mommy’s voice popped into her mind, telling her to reply because it was the polite thing to do. “I’m glad your day is good. My day is awesome do far!” And that was nothing but the truth. Sure, the mean sun and lying air made it difficult to go outside but she didn’t mind. She didn’t have to mind. She was now safe inside the café with Criss Angel and Cake Man. And, right now, she was enjoying the Cake Man. Especially when he asked her if she was hungry.
A small bell rung in her head. He wouldn’t ask if she was hungry and then not give her food, would he? Of course not! No one asks if someone’s hungry without the intention of feeding them. That was mean and rude. Which meant that she was going to get some cake! Her suspicions were confirmed as she noticed his hand slipping into his pocket. Her smile grew wider, showing her perfect, white teeth and another giggle floated out of her. He was going to give her cake! So she nodded excitedly, her hands flying up to try and hide her overly-enthusiastic smile as she replied in the sweetest and most polite voice that she could manage: “Why, yes, sir. I am. I am really hungry~” She paused for a moment, all movements ceasing as she realized something. He had called her by her name. Which meant that she knew him. But she just couldn’t remember his name.
A low whimper sounded from her as she willed for his name to come to her. Her tongue poked out of the corner of her mouth and her face became twisted in thought and concentration as she tried to will the name into her memory but she just couldn’t. Sighing in defeat, her hands fell away from her mouth and moved to run through her hair in minor frustration. She stared up at him as if that would help anything, hands still in her hair. Only one letter came to mind. “Zee.” She just blurted it out. Though, it sounded more like a question than what she could come up with as a name. “Zee. I’m dubbing you Zee and Cake Man.” She nodded once, declaring that it was fact after she had giggled once again, her smile returning to her features. He was now no longer Zephyr. She couldn’t remember that name. Not yet, anyway. He was now Zee. And Cake Man. And that was that.
Her eyes started to wander as she heard someone approaching. Turning her head, she watched as Criss Angel joined them. Thrusting another small hand into the air at him, she waved enthusiastically (nearly knocking herself over again) before addressing him. “Hi, Criss Angel! Fancy seeing you here~! How are you this lovely day?” She smiled wide up at him, waiting for his reply as she looked between him and Zee.
She was faced with a terrible decision. Where was she going to sit? The table was only meant for two. Hmm… It had to be. She was going to have to climb onto someone. But who? Criss Angel? She had hitched a ride on him. So maybe he had had enough climbing for today. But what about Zee? What if he didn’t want to have her climbing on him? Wait. What was she thinking? Of course he wanted her to climb on him. Who didn’t want this adorable little girl giving them attention like that? And he seemed like a nice enough man. It was decided. She would sit on Zee. Besides, he was offering her cake. It would have been rude to climb into someone else’s lap, right?
She took a step toward Zee, raising her arms into the air like a toddler silently demanding to be picked up. She made the “grabby hands” gesture so he knew that she wanted up. Her large eyes shown with the innocence and happiness of a child, something she had still managed to maintain through her years. “Up?” she asked with a cheerful voice, her smile still wide on her face. She had to sit somewhere. Might as well be on the lap that was feeding her.

------------------------------------------------- *close your eyes* -------------------------------------------------
Oh really now? The usual reply he supposed. Whenever one ask how his day was he always followed society's rule. Whether it was a lie or not, he would always say that he was doing well and smile. It might just be the same with her. He would not be surprised if that was to be the case. Still he nodded accepting her answer as it was. After all who was he to question what her day was like especially seeing the fact that this was their first official meeting as he had seen her before. No, not because he was a stalker despite what his appearance might give off. It was rather because of her peculiar hair simply made her stand out like his own platinum locks.
He let out a chuckle at her answer simply because she had called him sir. Now did he really look that old? Okay so he had platinum hair that was borderline silver but still he was only nineteen. Oh well it didn't matter too much seeing that she didn't seem to care about the fact that he had mentioned her name. Maybe she didn't even noticed it. Wait, no that wasn't the case he can see it on her face. The way her face twisted looking at him. He could tell that she was trying to recall his face and name but there was no where to recall. This was their first encounter.
It seems that she had given up with a sigh. He didn't blame her and opened his mouth to introduce himself but it promptly closed as she spoke. Zee. He blinked. What? He tilted his head in confusion as his eyes widened just a little bit so it not longer seemed as if it was closed. Even though her tone had been a questioning one it was still strange. Zee? Well it sounded like the first letter of his name but where would she get that? She might have just heard it from someone. His blue orbs squinted to its usual form, the one that made it seem as if they were closed. She spoke up once again giving him two nicknames. Zee and Cake man. The later sounding a bit wrong but at least it wasn't something like candy man so it wasn't too bad. Still cake man? Really? Oh well, at least it would be entertaining.
The male then turned his head to see Christopher walking over. He bit his tongue in order to stop himself from laughing at the sight. His friend walking over covering his face in clear shame. He was so conscious about himself that it was quite fun to watch him suffer in humiliation. Although the kitsune should had been the one that was humiliated he didn't care that much. He was used to ignoring people giving him strange stares because of the look on his face. As he took his seat the waiter came with his drink and chocolate cheesecake. Great, now he wanted the cake even more. His friend digging the fork into the cake didn't help him one bit either. His head moved towards his own cake or perhaps it was Adora's now since he had more or less given it to her. Such a shame. Oh well, at least she was interesting and who knows, maybe he'll be able to mooch off on his good friend. Yeah, now there was a good thought. His smile widened even more on that idea. Looks like he might just get his cake after all if he could play his cards right.
As the pink hair girl spoke up he turned his attention towards her. What? She was on his back, so why was she suddenly asking how his day was? Did he not know or did she just not know what to say? Maybe she wanted his cake as well. He wasn't sure at all. He then noticed they had a small dilemma. There were only two seats and Zephyr occupied one since he was the one that had taken the table. The other seat was taken by Christopher so that left the little girl with no where to sit. That is unless the ground counted but that would be so cruel. Of course that didn't mean that he would give up his own seat for her. No way, he already surrendered his cake. There was only so much he was willing to give to a stranger no matter how interesting they might be. Maybe he could get Christopher to do that. Still if his friend was to give up his seat, he would buy Zephyr cake? Probably not.
His thoughts were interrupted by light footsteps as the girl walked over to him and held her arms up. The kitsune tilted his head his smile now a line. What? Up? The way she stared at him like some innocent child reminded him of his sister. How he always had to lift her up on his seat and feed her. He had never minded doing that. Actually he enjoyed lifting her up and feeding her since she was adorable. He had done the same with Tristan at times after he was found by Ai but that has also been a long time ago. Both of them were people he was familiar with but he knew little to nothing about Adora. Still he couldn't resist the look on her face and picked her up Using the fork he cut a small piece of the cake and handed it to her. "There you go." he stated. "By the way the name is Zephyr but I guess you can call me Zee or Cakeman." Since well, those were quite interesting names.
"Say Christopher how much money do you have on you?" he asked the smile returning. It was a casual question for him but that might be because he mooch off of people quite a lot. His free hand moved up to groom Adoa's pink lock absentmindedly. He wasn't so sure how much his friend had. He might not be able to afford another slice. If so then he needed to think of a new way to get some cake. The aromas was just so alluring.

The sides of the boy's mouth twitched lightly as he heard the girl's nickname for the white haired boy.
"....Cake man?"
He asked, a hint of laughter could be found on the boy's voice just barely.
"Pretty cool nickname ya got there.."
The boy commented, no expression just a simple comment. Nothing offensive.
"Hi, Criss Angel! How are you this lovely day?"
The pink haired midget asked, earning a not so obvious temper mark on the boy's forehead.
"You would know... Considering the I don't know how long time you spent with me.."
He replied, sighing before taking another bite onto his cake and a quick sip out of the latte. The taste of the chocolate flavored cake was so.. amusing and refreshing to the taste buds that he wasn't that annoyed at the free ride the girl had mooched off him.
"Up?"
The boy turned to face the girl then at the yokai with a confused expression. He rolled his eyes once the kitsune lifted the salamander up..
Weird sight.
"Say, Christopher how much money do you have on you?"
That question sparked the boy's interest. He raised an eyebrow at the other and soon narrowed those crimson orbs of his.
"....Why?"

there's a place that i go that nobody knowsWHERE THE RIVERS FLOW AND I CALL IT HOME Her large eyes blinked as if she had missed something, the smile slowly fading from her lips as she thought about what Criss Angel had said about her nickname for Zee. Cake man. He sounded as if he was questioning it. Was there something wrong with it? Adora thought about this for a moment, her head slowly tilting to look up at him with a blank stare – as if she were gazing through him and not at him. She couldn’t find anything wrong with the nickname she had devised. After pondering this for a quick moment, she just giggled happily and waved her hand as if dismissing the comment. “Of course it’s cool! I made it up, didn’t I?” She blurted out just what she was thinking like she so often did. Anything that she makes up has to be cool because it came from her and the believes that everyone loves her. Doesn’t that make her cool?
Just as she was about to turn back to Zee and the delicious cake that was still whispering its commands for her to eat it, Criss Angel made another comment. With another giggle, she tilted her head back up at him, smiling her normal wide smile once more. “Well, I only hitched a ride after you hit the pole, silly! How were you up until then?” She waited for his reply with a polite little smile, her body rocking back and forth in slow motions as she shifted her weight from the balls of her feet all the way to the heels. She would lean forward whenever she rocked back on her heels in order to keep balance. The last thing she wanted was for a reoccurrence of last time in which she managed to knock over two waiters, a waitress, and was forced to walk back home painted with the food and drinks they had been carrying.
After a moment, she turned on her heel to face Zee again, arms up and extended for him to pick her up. When she noticed he was no longer smiling, she was getting ready to go ahead and climb right up onto his lap. She had to sit somewhere and his lap was that place. However, just as she was about to take another step forward and crawl right up, he lifted her up. A little giggle parted her lips as she was lifted. Adora absolutely loved the feeling of being picked up or flying. There had been many, many times in which she had jumped off of things to experience the feeling of flying. To enjoy the pull of gravity when being drawn back to the ground. The only thing she hated was the second she landed. Normally, she’d land on her feet but that would cause a shockwave of pain to vibrate her bones. One time, she managed to land on her stomach but that was even worse. Which was why she preferred to be carried. She was up high like she was flying but she never got her when she was landing.
Nestled comfortably in his lap, she licked her lips as she gazed at the cheesecake before. Her eyes sparkled with pure joy and delight. The large eyes followed Zee’s movements as he cut a piece of the cake off for her. Her small hand grabbed the fork as she ate it, a low hum of approval from the tasty little snack he had been so kind to give her. “Mmm.. Thank you for the cake~!” Her classic giggle rang out softly before she tilted her head back to look at Zee as he spoke. Oh~ So his name was Zeph… Zeph… Zeph… Something Adora was sure she couldn’t remember. She was just giddy that the first nickname she came up with mimicked the first letter in his name. “I’m going to stick with Zee or Cake Man.” She nodded declaring this to be fact like she had done before. She would only call him Cake Man if she couldn’t remember that she had changed his name to Zee in her mind. She would at least remember he had given her his cheesecake. Slowly, her eyes lowered back to the treat she had been waiting for. Sure, she hadn’t been waiting for a long time but she had been waiting nonetheless. Which was a stretch for her. Patience wasn’t really something she had gotten the hang of yet.
Taking the fork, she cut herself another piece and popped it into her mouth. The simple action was quick and full of energy. It seemed that she could make anything look enthusiastic. Even eating a slice of cheesecake. She kept her head still as she felt Zee’s fingers start to play with her pink locks, but her legs kicked lightly out in slow motions, keeping a steady beat that she could only hear. It was impossible for Adora to sit still.
Occasionally, she would glance up at Criss Angel and flash him a wide smile, reaching a small arm over the table to wave for a quick second before the hand slipped back under the table while the other was busy slipping the cake into her mouth bit by little bit. She only paused as she heard Zee ask Criss Angel for money. Uh-oh. Did Zee not have enough money for a piece of cake for himself? Guilt slowly twisted the inside of her stomach. She didn’t mean to take the cheesecake from him. He didn’t have to offer it to her if he didn’t want to… Her smile faded as she stared down at the cheesecake. There was still plenty of left. She didn’t eat quickly like most others. Instead, she liked to savor the sweet, sweet flavor while she had it.
Her smile wasn’t gone for too long, though. It seemed in no time she had found a solution. She cut the fork into the cake and scooped up apiece like she had done before. But instead of shoveling it into her own mouth, she lifted it up for Zee to eat. Her head tilted up as she looked up at him, her eyes, once again, glittering with her childish innocence. However, something else seemed to shine in them this time. Was there an apologetic gleam somewhere in there? As if she were trying to make up for taking his cake.

Oh yes, Zephyr can hear it. The light humor in Christan's voice. The small barely noticeable smile that was on his friend's face. He kept his smile though. He then heard Adora's opinion and nodded. "Of course. It's a wonderfl nickname~" he commented as if he was kissing up to her. In a way he suppose he was since he always did his best to be on people's good side especially when he had first meet them. It would always take a while before he becomes mischievous around them. Still a part of him did mean it since most of the time people just called him Zeph or well fox boy but that was namely those who know of his race. Cakeman though, that was the first time he had ever heard of such a nickname. He found it rather...amusing really.
Adora's reply to Christopher's answer made the kitsune raise a brow in amusement. Oh? "Tsk tsk tsk Christopher. You should watch where you are going bumping into a pole." he stated nodding rather mockingly. "Although I'm curious. How did you not notice her holding onto you?" he asked. After all even though she appeared small one should notice right or was she just that good? Then again this was Christopher. He might have just not bothered to check the small amount of extra weight. This was something to take note of for his little hobby.
As he picked Adora up he saw Christopher rolled his eyes. He simply smirked. He didn't mind it one bit. Although when he carried her up, even with his weak body she wasn't hard to lift at all. Actually she was rather easy, lighter than she looks which was saying quite a lot seeing her size. Now he was starting to see why his dear friend did not notice at all. It would be quite hard to notice this kind of weight and since the boy was an elemental he wasn't exactly gifted with any kind of heightened senses.
When the pink head took a bite of the cake, the kitsune felt himself wanting to grab the fork and eat the rest especially with how she comment it. Still he was able to resist the urge. He was not going to make his new acquaintance a victim, that would just be too rude. At her comment about his name he gave her a nod. As long as there was a way for her to identify him he was fine with it. Although a part of him did wonder how others would react. His elemental friend seems to take it rather well with some humor in it which in a way made it boring. He was kind of hopping the boy would have misunderstood but oh well. Maybe someone else would and he'll be put in a tight spot again for him to try to get out. Misunderstanding and problems were so much fun to solve.
Besides, he already has another target in mind did he not? Christopher's reply to his question was to be expected which was why his grin widened. Who wouldn't question him at that? Now how to answer. Should he trick him or just be blunt? Despite how the elemental might appear, he was rather kind after all but still Zephyr did love to trick people just to see if he could do it. "Because I was wondering if my bestest friend in the whole word would kindly grace me with a slice of cake. Preferably strawberry cheese cake." came the answer. Yeah, it would be better o be blunt at this rate. If that didn't work then he'll use tricks.
Yet it seems he might not have to as Adora had cut a small piece and put it in front of him. At first he stared at the girl a part of him wondering what she had to gain. he had given her the cake in order to establish some sort of friendship even if it might be false on his part. Yet she looked so real. No hidden intention at all. Her eyes seeming as if she was trying to say sorry. His smile became a little gentler as he took a bite off the fork. "Oh why thank you Adora." he replied. Although having one bite and getting the sweet sugar delight in his system made him wanted more o fit.
Zephyr's eyes quickly reverted back towards Christopher. "Hmm. It would be such a shame if sweet little Adora have to share her cake with me now wouldn't it? While Christopher gets a slice of cake all to himself." he lightly commented silently hoping that Adora would agree and help him on his quest to get his own slice of cake possibly for free. Oh he hopes it's for free. After all the best things in life are for free.

[bg=000000][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,382,true]"......."
He continued eating, ignoring the other two's conversation by distracting himself with food.
“Of course it’s cool! I made it up, didn’t I?”
The boy glanced at the girl and nodded, giving her a firm 'yeah, sure, whatever, yadda yadda'. He was too busy thinking about how the pink little bug climbed on him.
“Well, I only hitched a ride after you hit the pole, silly! How were you up until then?”
He looked at the midget once more, this time with narrowed eyes. He didn't bother to answer the question and continued busying himself with food.
"Tsk tsk tsk Christopher. You should watch where you are going bumping into a pole."
He looked at the two with crimson eyes before replying.
"I... was reading while.. walking."
His voice was calm yet, at the same time, annoyed. He was halfway done with his food and occasionally looked down at his lap where a book rested... He was reading while he ate.
It was then that Zephyr replied to his previous question.
"Because I was wondering if my bestest friend in the whole word would kindly grace me with a slice of cake. Preferably strawberry cheese cake."
He blinked once... twice.. before looking at the other. He had some leftover money left but he was not going to give in to.. to whatever trick the other was pulling on him.
"Hmm. It would be such a shame if sweet little Adora have to share her cake with me now wouldn't it? While Christopher gets a slice of cake all to himself."
He rolled his eyes once more and looked at the yokai.
"Yes, it would be such a shame. Oh well.. Whatever."
The boy really didn't care, it was his food and he let her have it. His fault. Oh well.

move and show me what you can do whenYOU STEP INTO THE CIRCLE AND SHAKE LIKE WE DO After Adora had shared that piece of cake with Zee, she listened to them converse. Though, that was normal of her. Listening in on people’s conversations even when they weren’t meant for her. She never thought anything of it. If they didn’t want her to listen, they should be paying more attention to her instead of what she wasn’t supposed to hear. However, this time was different. She was sitting on Zee’s lap so it wasn’t like she had much of a choice but to listen in. And it wasn’t anything secretive so she wouldn’t get in trouble. In fact, Zee even brought Adora in on this. Which made it part of her business, too.
“It would be a shame if sweet little Adora had to share her cake with me, now, wouldn’t it? While Christopher Criss Angel gets a slice all to himself.”
Yes, her mind just twisted what Zee called Christopher. Since Adora refers to him as Criss Angel, her mind automatically warped what was really said so Adora could understand. It substituted Christopher with Criss Angel. Her mind certainly was a wonder…
But that was beside the point. The point was that it was unfair for Criss Angel to get a cake all to himself. If Adora couldn’t pig out, no one could. Her wide smile turned into a childish pout as she watch Criss munch on his cake and… was he reading under the table? Wiggling, Adora bent her body to look under the table and, sure enough, there was a book resting in his lap.
“Hey~! Criss Angel~! Did you know that it’s rude to read while you’re visiting your friends? Come on, now. Put the book away~!! And talk with us. Please~?! And, yes. It is unfair, Zee, that Criss Angel gets a cake all~ to him~self!” And, on the last note, Adora cut another piece of cake off of her slice and held it up for Zee before she took another bite of the cake to show she was sharing. As if to drive in the point that Zee was trying to make. Though, her pout did disappear when she ate another piece of the cake…
The more sugar that started to course through her system, the more restless she got. Yes, she was nestled in Zee’s lap but that wouldn’t stop her from doing her own little dance to a song that randomly started to play in her head. It started out slow, calm. The light kicking of her legs followed by the gentle sway of her body that moved from side to side as if she were rocking on a boat in the middle of the ocean on a calm day. The waves weren’t strong so each movement was almost precise but still fluid. Then her head started to move with the motions, tilting from side to side slowly but gracefully. Then, gradually, the motions became a tad more violent, quicker. The swaying was sharper, following a beat that was starting to play inside the girl’s mind. Suddenly, she froze, the fork held up to her lips. And she burst into song: “MOVE! And show me what you can do when you step into the circle and SHAKE LIKE WE DO~!” Her singing wasn’t the shy kind, either. She belted the lyrics to Move by Thousand Foot Krutch in a loud and proud way. Though, she never was a great singer…
She hadn’t meant to interrupt anyone that was within earshot of the random singer. This was just her. Though, now she was quiet, wide eyes staring around her at all the people that had turned to watch her totally random and loud performance. After a moment, she just smiled wide and threw one of her arms up in to the air – possibly nearly smacking Zee in the face in the process – and waved to everyone enthusiastically. With a precious giggle, she spouted, “Hiya, peoples!”

Christopher's reply was very...well strange. Zephyr chuckled at the image of the ever so stoic Christopher walking into a pole all because he was reading a book. Really who would believe him if he was to say that? Ah, no matter how distant and quiet he may seem, the boy was clearly like everyone else.
That is except for the fact that he wouldn't share any of the cake with the kitsune. Was it because he was a youkai? If so then that would be very racist indeed. Although he knew the truth. The sylph wasn't racist or else they wouldn't even be friends right? He was just strange to say the least. It was really hard to describe their little bond. They act like friends, Zephyr would talk to him from time to time but he also found Christopher fun to mess with. Especially when he is hugged by the elemental for no apparent reason with the same stoic mask. To many people they must have a strange bond indeed but that might be because their friendship is a bit on sided.
He felt Adora's body moved and was curious as to why. That was until she spoke. The eldest nodded his head quickly agreeing with the pink head's words. "Yeah. It makes us feel so unloved Criss Angel." he stated emphasis on the girl's little pet name for him. .Part of him prayed the cake would fall on the book and ruin it. Not because he hated the boy but rather because he was curious to what his expression would be. Would it still have that mask or would there be shock. Perhaps annoyance? Would he curse his luck? Just what would he do? When Adora continued he mentally praised the girl. Even she can see how unfair it is that the Sylph gets a slice of cake all to himself. "See? Even Adora agrees with me that you're hogging the cake all to yourself." he stated pouting like a little child. He took a bite as the little girl fed him. Soon he felt her move. The tempo becoming faster. Did she needed to go to the restroom? He bent his head so that he was looking at her. It was a good thing he did because the next thing he knew she had raised her fist in the air and nearly hit him if it wasn't for the fact that he moved back in time. His pout was now gone as he stared at the sight. She was...singing. Not say that she was a bad singer. She was okay....but what confused him was why she was singing. Was she getting hyper off of cake? Was that even possible for someone her age? He could see little four years old getting hyper but a first year? It didn't take long for the customers to stare at the three. Not that Zephyr minded it though. Actually as he looked at them, the shock facial expression. It was quite entertaining. Once Adora realized she had gathered attention she simply greeted them and the kitsune had to snicker holding in the urge to burst out laughing as it would have been rude. Yeah...he was already liking Adora. Her character was very interesting alright. Quickly though he went back to Christopher just to see his reaction. |
